Abstrack

Hypertension must be treated immediately, one of which is with complementary treatment, namely

biomass. Biomassage is a massage technique designed to stimulate the blood flow of fluids in the body

and awaken energy in the body. This study aims to determine the effect of Biomassage therapy on blood

pressure in hypertensive patients at the Biomassage Clinic. This research is quantitative research with

Pre Experimental Design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. In this study, nonprobability sampling was used with a simple purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 20

respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analytical test used is the Wilcoxon

Singned-Rangk test with a significance value of 0.05. Based on the research results, it was found that

there was a change in blood pressure, namely a decrease with the difference in mean values in systole

(14.94) and diastole (11.18). The statistical test using the Wilcoxon test on systole and diastole showed

a value of (p=0.001), which means a p value <0.05 shows that there is a significant effect of biomass

therapy on changes in blood pressure in hypertensive patients.
